WELCOME!

Teaching is an absolute passion of mine! I'm so excited about the school year ahead! I truly believe all learning should be fun, engaging, and meaningful. Without a doubt, we have much to do and much to accomplish while your child is in third grade. Working together, we can certainly make this happen! Please use this site as a quick reference to keep up with our learning goals, schedule, classroom events, and expectations. I'm looking forward to working closely with each of you to ensure your child's success. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to be your child's teacher! :)

JUST A LITTLE ABOUT ME ...

I am so excited to be working with you and your child this school year!  It's going to be a year full of learning, fun, and adventure.

I have been married to my wonderful husband, Randy, for thirty-eight years. We have two sons, two daughters-in-love, six amazing grandchildren, and two precious Golden-Doodles. When I'm not spending time with my family, I love baking, painting, and traveling.

I have lived in Evans most of my life. I moved to Evans when I was 13 years old. My dad was a Kroger manager and my mom taught in Columbia County. I attended the old Evans Elementary School and Evans Middle School, Evans Comprehensive High School, and then graduated from Georgia Southern University in 1986 with a degree in Early Childhood Educator. I have a Master's from Lesley University and a Specialist degree from Capella University. I taught for twenty-six years. My time was spent in 2nd grade, kindergarten, and fourth grade. Because I love working with students, their parents, school staff, and the school community, I chose to become a school administrator. I served as Blue Ridge Elementary School's assistant principal and principal for five years. After being an hard working educator for thirty-two years, I retired in June 2019.

When I discovered Gov. Kemp was allowing retired teachers to reenter the classroom without losing their benefits, I jumped at the opportunity! So here I am! I am ready to teach! Let's have a great time together this school year!
